I was so impressed, as a North Seattle culinary refugee who blazed through town. Everything was delicious: my palie’s burger, fries & side salad; my own HOUSE MADE hash. Attentive & kind service. Well done, Whistle Stop! Well done. Please don’t change and I’ll be back!
The meatloaf that I had was mediocre. The mashed potatoes were basically drowned in sauce and kind of runny. My partner had the fish and chips and he said it was very enjoyable. So it depends on what you order I guess.
This is a nice quaint restaurant located in downtown Renton. I’ve been here a few times for lunch and breakfast. The atmosphere inside the restaurant had a casual neighborhood and unique with the ‘railroad’ theme. They have a bar area and a dining area as well as an outdoor area. you allow dogs when the outdoor patio is open (warmer months / days) & they provide a water bowl! Prices are pretty fair. They have a wide range of beer on tap and a pretty extensive menu and breakfast until 2 PM I believe (don’t quote me, but they definitely serve breakfast into the early afternoon) I will say parkin
Stopped at The Whistle Stop Ale House on our way to the airport this morning and were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the breakfast burrito, which came with a delicious assortment of fresh fruit, and we also split the eggs Benedict—so the photo is a half order. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly balanced and flavorful, and the ham was just as good. Both dishes were excellent—highly recommend the eggs Benedict. Service was friendly and attentive, and the place itself has a great, laid-back weekend vibe. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast!
Absolutely loved this restaurant! Both soups of the day (roasted red pepper and vegetable lentil) were some of the best we ever had. Thankfully my hubby and I shared so we could try both; we were disappointed we ordered the cups instead of full bowls LOL. The Turkey club on sourdough with tots was fantastic. But the best was the molten butter toffee cake. OMG! Melt in your mouth amazing!
