I had simply one of the best meals and dining experiences at the Open Door. The atmosphere was welcoming and food perfectly cooked. My pilsner Pfriem was crisp and paired well with the pea, broccoli and basil soup. Michelle, the bartender, efficient and fun, made me feel at home from my best seat in the house at the end of the bar. Highly recommend this restaurant - will most definitely visit again.
Exceptional dinner in every way. This time we dined in: Great ambiance in an art studio, excellent food, fantastic service. We called for reservations earlier in the day as we were unable to book same day online. Loved the portions, taste and price of the side salad, scallops, halibut, italian lasagna and coconut pie. Highly recommend!
I've been here many times for outdoor concerts during the Sisters Folk Festival. I love the atmosphere. Last night, we tried the food for the first time. I loved the halibut with the lemon cream sauce and caprese salad. I didn't love the artichoke dip but my husband did. Overall, they have good food but it depends on your taste. I would go again.
Wonderful gem. Service was friendly and attentive. Every dish we had was excellent, from the deeply flavorful and bubbly hot lasagna to the perfectly browned scallops to the balanced roasted beet salad to the very tasty mocktails for the teens and a very nice wine selection (they do have beer too). The atmosphere is so cute and comfortable, with the music selection and volume set to enhance the experience. First rate all around. We will be back.
6-2026 We have been here before and loved it. Today we ordered and then waited forever for our food, wondering if they forgot about it. Our server, Wayne, never stopped to tell us anything until we asked about its whereabouts. The lasagna and tahini bowl were good. The salad was ok except for the bits of too-old lettuce. There is no excuse for a restaurant to serve old lettuce. If you cannot obtain a mix with everything in good shape, best not to use it at all. Finally we ordered decaf coffee and the flourless chocolate cake. In part because chocolate and coffee are perfect together. The c
