Good pizza-the kind that you have to fold to eat! I got the Margherita pizza with ricotta cheese added, and it was quite tasty. This place is also cool because it has an arcade downstairs and pinball machines upstairs we sat out on the patio, which was nice. There are servers that bring out your order, but the order is all done online via QR code.
This was my first time ordering pizza from here. I've heard about them but just never had the food. We ordered a good selection of pizzas - The Midnight Kiss (pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, jalepenos, calibration honey, and parsley), White pie (wild mushroom blend, herbs, house made garlic drizzle over white sauce), Sausage (fennel sausage, shaved fennel, mama's lil peppers), pepperoni, and a cheese pizza. The kids loved the cheese pizza and the I enjoyed the White Pie and well as the Midnight Kiss.
So I've been here before the last time I was in Portland. It was around August and they had a pizza special that was really good... forgot what it was called but had kale on it...10/10. I always get the fried brussel sprouts. They are so good and it's a huge amount. Definitely worth it. I got the white pizza this time since I wanted more veggies and added bacon. It was okay... I'm going to stick to pepperoni but I could see it being without bacon if you wanted only veggies.
First visit yesterday despite staying nearby often when we come to the Portland area. Shoulda visited before. The place is great, staff is friendly, and most importantly to me, they have a rad pinball and beer selection. The pizza is pretty good and pairs well with the brew. Accidentally left my hoodie behind. A regular customer I met there (Sara) made sure the staff held it for me. Thank you. Ended up with 2 two hour visits in the same day. Good times!
They wouldn’t put the sound on for the World Cup championship game, even though all the guests were asking and it was advertised as a game spot. It was a weird foot in the ground. We left to the pub next door that was very accommodating. The arcade is a nice thought, but it’s always dirty and an afterthought for bussing. Your money is best spent at another steeplejack location or another brewery.
