We never actually got to try the food because the reservation and table management was so disorganized. We walked in and asked for a dog-friendly table. The hostess told us it would be about 10 minutes and that we'd receive a text. After waiting 20 minutes with no message, we went back inside only to be told the table still wasn't ready. We waited another 10 minutes, checked again, and once more were told it wasn't available. Eventually, we were told we could order takeout instead if we don'twant to wait. As we walked toward the takeout area, we noticed the dog-friendly table sitting empty.
If you're looking for the best wood-fired pizza in Hood River, Solstice Wood Fire Pizza is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere has a fun, relaxed vibe that's perfect for lunch, dinner, or grabbing pizza after exploring Hood River. The pizzas were absolutely incredible. The wood-fired crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of chew, and the fresh, high-quality toppings made every bite delicious. Absolutely terrific food experience, not a bad dish was had! The roasted carrots had spectacular flavor, and the arancini paired with their chimichurri was delicious. Had the Hot Mama pizza which had a perfect crust and a lovely spice kick. One of the best slices of key lime to boot!
After a long, snowy hike out at Mount Hood, this spot hit exactly right. :) Ambience & vibe: Super cozy and relaxed—great place to warm up and unwind after being out in the cold. It has that classic wood-fired, slightly rustic feel without trying too hard. Perfect for post-adventure recovery. Food: We tried two pizzas: • Truffle mushroom – Rich, earthy, and easily the standout. The truffle flavor wasn’t overpowering, just enough to elevate the mushrooms. Great balance. • Vegetarian – Fresh and solid. Lots of veggies, good texture, and a lighter contrast to the truffle pizza. The crust is wh
