We visited Mugen Noodle in Hood River this past Saturday and had such a great experience! The Black Garlic Ramen was delicious — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The Shoyu Ramen had soft noodles, comforting broth, and thick, tender pork with a very generous portion. The Garden Salad was fresh, and the dressing was absolutely amazing! Don’t miss the Crab Puff — their version is unique, with a crispy tortilla-style wrapper and a creamy, slightly sweet, flavorful filling. So good! Friendly service, lovely owners, beautiful atmosphere, and great portions. They even have cool Mugen shirts for
I had an amazing experience at Mugen Noodle! The Shoyu ramen and the Black Garlic ramen were both absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. What really stood out was the unique addition of what seemed like kelp or agar in the ramen. It added a subtle “kick” and a pleasantly chewy texture that made each bite even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and definitely will be coming back! Try it out!
I had some great food during my trip out here. THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD MY WHOLE TRIP. Grew up in Hawaii and frequently back, so I know good and authentic Japanese food. When the ramen is more than just different things thrown in the same mix, with actual boldy different flavors, you know there is time and effort in it. EXCELLENT and creative sake flight selections. I have never had a flight of anything where every single one was awesome and VERY different, let alone paired perfectly with the food. (I bought a bottle of all 3 when I returned home). Very kind, generous owner, great humble Japane
