Moonshine BBQ

First time eating at this place and I will definitely be coming back. Took my wife on a date night and decided to try it. Walked in, sat ourselves. We immediately got service. They were busy so apps and drink took a minute to get to us, but understood. Ordered, got our food decently fast. Waitress was nice and friendly and stayed on top of making sure we were good and didn't need anything.

Pros: (1) ambience (2) friendly staff (3) reasonable prices (4) flavor is reasonable Cons: (1) for the jalapeño popper burger, there was a hint of too much cream cheese and too little meat flavor. I know it’s a tough balance to strike, and the poppers weren’t overwhelming

I thought the food was pretty good! We sat outside and it was beautiful. Our party of five ordered: Wild West burger, 1lb of brisket, vegetarian burger, fried pickles, fries, mac n cheese, collard greens, brisket chili and a watermelon mule. Wild West burger was very good!!! Cooked to perfection and the flavors went together so well Brisket was “acceptable” in the words of my uncle. He asked me to include that he would rate the brisket 5/10 in my google review. He is a tough critic because he spends a good amount prepping, smoking and grilling his own meat. I think an ordinary person would be happy with their brisket, especially if you add sauce. The sides and appetizers were all good. They have really good fries. Crispy and flavorful. The watermelon mule was well mixed and a nice summery drink for patio seating. Thank you for having clean and spacious restrooms. It makes a difference when you’re having to haul little ones for potty breaks. There is a good amount of parking but be mindful that it is a gravel lot!

I used to love this place. Everything has gone downhill from the stand-offish service to the terrible food. my chicken was dry as hell and completely burned. When I asked for a different one, the guy said “oh they were cooked yesterday and this is all we have today. They’re all looking like this.” The only thing edible on my plate was the mac & cheese. The salad was obviously expired & the cucumbers tasted like rubber. The server literally did not care at all. I used to be a fan. I will not be back.

Was pleasantly surprised by this hole in the wall BBQ joint tonight. Within walking distance of our hotel, we made the trek and it was well worth it! My husband and I ordered the 3 meat plate with cornbread and 2 sides. It was more than enough food for the both of us. The brisket and pulled pork were fall apart tender. The sausages cooked to perfection. Mac and cheese and coleslaw had delicious texture and flavors. All fresh, and served quickly. Topped things off with their summer apple pie special desert and oh, YUM. Lots of memorabilia on the walls to look at. Sound dampening panels on the ceiling keeps the noise down. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!
