I’ve dined here several times, and the food consistently delivers. Clay Pot Clams does have a bit of bitter after taste. But the lime aioli is freaking delicious! Banh Xeo is nice and crunchy. Lots of herbs and the nuoc cham is great. Drunken chicken is good! I also enjoy the fresh oysters 🦪 I’m not a fan of cilantro in the mignonette, but oh well. Great cocktails selection. And our server is really nice, friendly and attentive! Overall a solid spot to come back for Viet casual lunch/dinner.
Overall I felt the food was all quite salty and lots if black pepper in each dish. I couldn’t finish any dishes except the dessert. The banana cake was delicious The restaurant was bigger than I thought it would be and restaurants were clean. Staff were all kind The parking was hard to find since it’s not the lot right behind the building. That’s Bis On Main’s parking You’ll have to go past the first parking lot and go behind and park where here is a clear sign that says it’s for Monsoon. There is around 10-15 spots in front of a black fence and you walk through a passage way to the front en
Went without a reservation on a Saturday evening and got in in about 5 mins. The Vietnamese rolls were fresh and crispy. I tried the wheat noodles with egg, which was pretty good. The service and ambience was excellent, with dim lights and cozy seating.
Great place and good service. We made a reservation and it required a deposit but the place on a Saturday afternoon was not too busy. We started with the lemon pepper wings and pork buns. Loved the wings and my toddler enjoyed the the pork buns. The buns and the filling was a bit too sweet for my taste but otherwise good. We got the drunken chicken rice bowls and cat fish rice bowls. Portion of protein was pretty good and it tasted very well. Once again, it was a bit too sweet for me and hard to get any other flavor but I should have taken a pho or something else.
Monsoon: a seasonal wind pattern associated with heavy rainfall and dramatic atmospheric shifts. Also apparently a restaurant in Bellevue where every dish hits harder than the last like I’m being psychologically profiled through appetizers. The garlic pork belly tasted like a wizard finally paying his taxes. Then the lemongrass clay pot chicken came out and somehow upgraded my credit score spiritually. Every plate was better than the last to the point where I started distrusting the kitchen. Honestly they shouldn’t call it Monsoon. They should call it “More Soon” because I will in fact be back
