Let me first day I don't give out 5 stars very often. This place deserved 6! The portions were big, very big. That usually doesn't impress me. I'm more worried about quality. And the quality here was fantastic. I am not lying when I say the biscuits and gravy may have been the best I've ever had. Ever. The gravy was full of sausage and the sausage patty was delicious. Coffee had unlimited refills, however, the price of $4 was a bit steep for the quality. The food was average, not bad but not exceptional either. It was better than Denny’s but not as good as what you’d expect from a homemade-style restaurant. The portions were average-sized,which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio could have been better.

I went here for the very first time. They are open for breakfast and lunch only. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us several times. Very personable and made conversation. Told us what dishes were her favorite and why etc. She was very sweet and seemed to really like her job. The food. Everything was amazing. Portion sizes are huge. You will not leave there hungry. Great selection of things on their menu. Our food came out very quickly and they were pretty busy. Loved it there and cant wait to try more things.

My buddy and I met here for breakfast and did not leave hungry! He had the half order of the game and cheese omelette, which was half the size of his plate. I had the Chicken Fried Steak which covered my plate! It was not "cut with a fork" tender, but I didn't have to exert any energy sawing through it. And it was delicious! The service is outstanding and the waiters are super friendly. MaCrae's has been a staple in Gresham for over 30 years and going strong!
