We visited Marination Ma Kai off of a recommendation from a friend of ours who frequents the Seattle area, and one thing this location has is atmosphere. Being along the coast in West Seattle, you get an awesome view of the Seattle skyline while dining. The fact that it's right at the West Seattle water taxi stop is very convenient and is a great reason to take this scenic trip on the water taxi from downtown Seattle (the King County water taxi terminal is right next to the ferry terminal on Pier 50 in downtown, and kids ride free while adults are $6.25 as of the time of this review). Food is the closest to home I've had in a while. I only gave it 4 stars because the luau plate was almost cold. But the loco moco was piping hot. Not sure you will find a better view in a West Seattle restaurant.
A great place to go on a nice day with a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. The prices were great and the food sooooo good. Got our food really fast. I had the kimchi fried rice with spicy pork and I was super happy with my choice. They did have a parking lot but it was full so we parked on the street a few blocks up.
This place was so cool! We ordered the sliders with pork, kimchi fried rice with pork, fish tacos, spam musibi, and the "donuts" and it was delicious. The sliders where super food, as well as the sauce on it. The kimchi fried rice was IMPECCABLE, it definitely hit the spot after a long swim meet. I personally didn't try the fish tacos but they looked super good, and my dad says they were "very good, the coleslaw was good, the fish and tortillas was fresh, and wasn't soggy." It as my first time having spam musibi and it was good, I personally didn't like the spam, but that's just my opinion. Ho
Awesome. We all hot something different and everyone enjoyed what they got. We all made it a "meal" by adding fries and a drink too. My daughter got cheese quesadillas on the kids menu. The fusion of flavors was incredible... so many different tastes and textures that all blended to gether well on the same plate. Definitely worth trying something new.
