What a great place for a great burger. Obviously I'm not the 1st 5 star review nor will I be the last. This place is an institution. We sat outside cause of our K-9 companion but it was really nice out there. The food was really good and everyone got something different. Everyone loved what they ordered. The half and half was my favorite. Those fries were amazing. Prices are reasonable and similar to other places. Service was good. Certainly worth a stop if you're in the area.
Staff is friendly. Food is overpriced and they need to clean the fryer. My son wants to know if everything is fresh as the menu says why they don't make a burger patty to fit the bun? They do give a refular burger for your birthday. Burgers do not include fries, fries are extra. Internet doesn't work well in the area even with their wifi. Outside is pretty.
Been coming here since I was a teenager over 20 years ago. One of the only places around Portland I have to eat at when I come back for a visit. Hefeweizen is ice cold, the burger is massive, the beef is rocking and the fries and rings are all covered in goop, as they should be. Mr. Pickle and I will be back as often as I visit the Portland area.
This place looked so unassuming from the road but wow it was great!! The staff were all super nice and the food was ready SO quick. The cheeseburgers were the best I’ve had in a long time and the fries/rings were very yummy too. 10/10 would recommend to my friends.
After reading the reviews, I decided to take us to lunch here. The beers were cold at least. The food was lackluster at best. We love dive bars, but the food here just did not live up to the reviews. My burger was OK, the onion rings were good. The $23 halibut fish and chips were factory made, super thin, overcooked pieces of fish. The fries were lukewarm and floppy. $60 plus tip. We will not be back unfortunately
