Absolutely phenomenal!! Stopped in on our way down the west coast and was not disappointed!! Happy hour menu had several options and everything tasted fantastic!! We started with a cocktail and potatoes pancakes. My husband had the Cordon bleu and was pleasantly surprised with how tender the chicken was. My rouladen tasted just like a home cooked German meal. The manager ,Rob, came by several times to check on us and was extremely polite and friendly!! Do Not Skip On the Dark Chocolate Mousse!!! It's what dreams are made of!!!
It has been a while since we last had eaten here. No reason, just not close to where we live. We were worried the place would not return or drastically change after being sold. So glad we went back. We were greeted by friendly staff and taken to our table. The place still has that rustic feel inside. The menu was a little smaller than we remembered but they still had the classics that made us fans in the first place. I must say, the food was always wonderful, but this time it tasted even better. We started off with the famous Rheinlander fondue and a bowl of Bier onion soup. For the main course my wife got the Hungarian Jager Schnitzel and I opted for the Bavarian Feast, it was truly out of this world. All throughout our meal, different staff would stop by and ask if we needed anything or how the food tasted. Our server was very friendly and made us feel at home. Cant wait to go back.
This resto was great - must come again! Nice selection of beers and food is sehr schmakfoll! ausgezeichnet! The interior is super impressive too and good for romantic outings too!
It was slooooowwww. We came for lunch and it was at least 15 minutes before we even had drinks. Food came out 30 minutes after that. All said and done we were there for over an hour and they were mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon. The place is super cute and fun. It is loud and leaned in hard on the theme, but I loved it. The food was mid. It didn't seem super authentic, but then we stuck with the more mainstream, American type of dishes. The fondue was a little thick and heavy for my taste. It would have been nice to have some mustard to cut it with. The sour kraut isn't sour enough for my taste, but overall we enjoyed the Ruben. The fries were supposed to be truffle, but they either forgot, or they mixed up the truffle with the rosemary. An interesting flavor that I ended up liking. It was a bit spendy as well.
Fun old German themed place! Food was amazing and service on par! Wish they had the Black Forest Cake on the desert menu not just as a drink, but not going to fault them for that. Check it out!
