Paul was such an amazing bartender! He welcomed me and my boyfriend, chatted us up about the drinks and we ordered specials that he created. We also ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese which was super tasty. Overall, a great time!
Went here for an anniversary dinner. No reservation on a Friday night but the place was not very busy and got seated immediately. Service was very good. The food and drinks were hit and miss. Paper plane drink special was very good. Ophelia was heavy in the Campari and not to my taste. The stuffed halibut was excellent, though a slightly small portion. Substituted the polenta for the mash and was a good choice . Also ordered the Delmonico and here where they missed the mark. Requested rare and came out a little more done than requested. Additionally, seemed like the grill wasn’t hot enough,
We live in the area and had not been to Flat Iron for a while. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the negative reviews. Our experience was excellent. We had good service and the meal and drinks were very good. Our party had the salmon, stuffed halibut and 8 oz filet. Each entree was presented nicely and cooked to perfection. The person who had the filet said it was very tender. We will definitely be going back soon!
I literally drive 20 minutes to this restaurant every now and then just to pick up their goat cheese polenta side because it’s that good!! Highly recommend it to anyone who has or hasn’t tried polenta before. Theirs is the BEST in my opinion! Also have tried their beet salad and brussel sprouts (minus the bacon as I’m a vegetarian…!) and those were absolutely delicious too.
This is a lovely place to get a great dinner. The calamari appetizer was fantastic, and the fish dinner I had was also excellent. You can expect to spend a fair bit per person, so be prepared for that, but if you're looking for a great meal this is a good place to go. For the money I'd like to see bigger portions, but they're definitely sufficient to fill you up.
