Visit was Sunday late afternoon/early evening. Restaurant was not busy. Server may have been new, and just saying that and acknowledging mistakes would have gone a LONG way. You're asked to scan a QR code for the menu, and it is not phone friendly. There is a lot of scrolling and multiple pages. We needed to use 2 phones to see the description of the items offered because they're on separate mobile pages. Drinks were good, slightly over priced. Food was pretty good and the combination is a good deal. Cod tacos- 10/10 excellent and would absolutely get again. Mozzarella sticks were the good kind (battered not crumb coated) but over cooked so half the cheese had been fried out. Marinara is super oregano heavy but the ranch is good (costs extra.) Tots were also 10/10 and cooked perfectly. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, but received the honey garlic chicken pizza. Having never been there we didn't realize the error until eating it and trying to find the bacon and ranch. Wouldn't get it again. There is a combination option that offers a half an appetizer for an additional cost- 1/2 pound wings for $9.99. They were good, but VERY overpriced. 4 wings were a half a pound. The server returned after taking our order (we waited eons to even order watching her walk by and look at us with our phones put away and just visiting) to tell us we could have the wings OR one of the items ordered. We tried to explain the option on the menu and she left... she never returned to tell us it was taken care of. Our wings came out, but not our Mozzarella sticks. After asking about the mozz sticks the server said the kitchen messed up... they came out with our meal. Seemingly, the server never even put them in until i asked about them. The food wasn't brought by our server, and she didn't come by to check on us until we were nearly done. When mentioning the error on the pizza, the server was unaware there were even 2 chicken pizzas and rolled her eyes and said the kitchen messed up and left- zero offer of fixing it or apologizing. She did come back 7-8 minutes later (we already cleaned up the table/stacked dishes and were clearly done) to ask if we wanted the pizza made correctly. The receipt isnt itemized so im not sure which pizza she chose. The food was good, the service was awful. Server was an older woman, tiny frame, with burgundy ish hair in low pig tails. EDIT AFTER RESPONSE- to clarify, the server did not do anything to rectify the pizza problem until we were ready to go by offering a new one to be made. It took quite a while for the food to come out as it was and we were staying in a hotel. We wanted to dine in, not store food in the hotel mini fridge. We paid full price for our entire meal. We are from out of town and after the horrible service and servers annoyance at the mistakes it seemed confrontational and difficult to further deal with the server. Never trying to be a Karen, just want the food and service we're paying for.
Great local restaurant Saturday Happy Hour Less than 15 minute wait from ordering to when my food arrived Great Garlic burger with generous side of tots, (definitely get the pub sauce for dipping) Cinnamon Churro with caramel sauce for dessert was decadent. Good portions for the money
Have visited many times at both Mukilteo and Mountlake Terrace and everything tried has been good, until the nachos-probably the worst I've ever had-dry tough chicken, skimpy toppings, solidified cheese over pile of tortilla chips. Not up to their usual quality. Maybe an off day for the Mountlake Terrace location.
I went and got a flight of their ciders/seltzer and it was pretty good. The mango cider didn't taste like much of anything but the rest were pretty flavorful and dry. My husband got a flight of beers, no IPAs, and he liked them all. We split a combination with a small pizza, which was really good. Tater tots which were fine. The loaded mac and cheese - totally the star of the show. The portions were large enough that even with us splitting we took home enough for another meal that our teenager snagged and they loved the mac and cheese. Atmosphere - nothing special. It was fine. The services we good. I don't know that I'd go out of my way to go back but if friends wanted to meet up there I'd be down.
Diamond knot is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We always bring families and friends to here if they come to visit us. There are good vibes as a local brewery. Decent food like Burgers. Services are also good. They even gave my daughter an off menu beverage as she had just asked something once. We noticed this place can be pretty busy sometimes at weekend, so please expect to be patient.
