Deschutes Brewery Bend Public House

We arrived when it was super busy but managed to get seats at the bar. We had great service and delicious food and beer. We started with the marinated olives and then had burgers and beer. The pub burger was flavorful and the ranch is legit. I enjoyed a tropical hazy with my meal.

This is the second time we have eaten here and both times the food was really good. We shared the Mac n' Cheese with Chicken (came with a side house salad) and the Pretzel and Cheese with stone ground mustard. Both for the pretzel and in the Mac the cheese was very creamy, not gritty or broken. Ended up getting the Root Beer Float as well which was great too, the salted vanilla Gelato worked well with the root beer. Will definitely be eating here again.

Worst Mac & Cheese with chicken added. Cost with chicken $24. Worth it? NO! There was NO cheese sauce. NONE, ZERO, ZIP. I couldn’t believe it. We were in a party of 9 and most were from out of town and were driving back home after we ate so I didn’t want to cause a ruckus about the food. It was literally toasted pasta shells with dry chicken. I had to dip the chicken in the salad dressing that came with my small salad. See pics of what I got and how little of anything it was. Absolutely delicious!!! The blackened salmon sandwich was so so good! Salmon was cooked and deboned perfectly. Their Love in Color sour ale was so tasty I had to buy 2 of their 4 packs to take with us back home! PLEASE get the huckleberry/strawberry mud pie, it is TO DIE FOR!
