Demetris Woodstone Taverna

We spontaneously had dinner here on a Sunday night and got lucky! They had a table outside for us where we could watch the gorgeous sunset. They were knowledgeable and accommodating with my dietary needs (gluten and dairy). My mom has celiac and also enjoyed all of the GF options! The manager Mike stopped by a couple of times to check on us, and other tables, which was nice. He turned on the heater and lit the fire when it started getting dark. Brooks was our server and so attentive. The food was INCREDIBLE. It was a great way to spend my birthday!

Great gluten free options while you’re waiting for the ferry!! We got oysters and the fish and chips which are gluten free (huge and delicious) and the fried calamari (gluten free and YUM!) and clam chowder also gluten free! Three items you don’t usually find in gluten free. Our server was great and super helpful. We sat outside with a view and a fire/heater and it was perfect.

This is an amazing place to eat. The food is fresh and very flavorful. Tried the lamb chops and prime rib dip, need I say more. Highly recommend! Staff was great, atmosphere was amazing, and surprisingly quite cozy. Will return many times for sure.

Demetris Woodstone Taverna has a surprisingly extensive GF menu. The standout for me was the gluten-free fish and chips, with a light and crispy batter. It’s so nice to find a spot that does classic comfort food. Plenty of other GF options on the menu, too. I’d definitely come back!

Nice staff, delicious food, quick service, lovely atmosphere. All around incredible experience in a sweet town! Will definitely be coming back. Their calamari is to die for!
