Very nicely decorated restaurant and a lot of historical features, seems a lot of cool drinks - we didn’t try any as we need coffee, coffee was well done and they are not hesitating to just give you a whole pot before you even ask for refill. Salad was okay, nice touch on the turkey ball and cranberries. Potatos and gravy was not very tasty, need some serious seasoning. But our waitress ( sherry or Sheryl) made the whole experience very enjoyable.
A place you’ll want to return to for a truly delicious meal. It was an amazing lunch! I’ll go even further: this is the best place we’ve visited in the last year. Everything was incredibly delicious, and our whole family was very happy. Here is what we tried: FISH 'N CHIPS: A fantastic delicate and crispy crust. Inside was juicy cod, perfectly complemented by a well-balanced tartar sauce. TOP SIRLOIN STEAK: The medium-rare steak was delicious, but I was most impressed by the gravy on the mashed potatoes. It’s a taste straight from my childhood; I haven’t had anything like it in a long time.
This place is a fantastic find! The interior has a wonderful traditional feel that makes it super cozy for a family meal. The staff are incredibly polite and the overall atmosphere is just great. I had the Uncle Dick’s Pulled Pork Burger, it was delicious, but be warned: the portion is absolutely huge! Also, they have a charming little shop inside with really interesting items for the home. It’s the perfect spot to grab a unique gift after a great meal.
My sweetheart, and I enjoying delicious strawberry lemonades made by the ever wonderful server Summer and what is left of our dinner of my chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, country gravy, and green beans which everything was made to absolute perfection my other half enjoying his Swiss cheese and mushroom smothered chicken. The chicken is tender and juicy as all get out! 10 out of 10 highly recommend dining here and as always, we will be back again.
I had a hamburger and french fries. The food was hot and the french fries were great. The hamburger was bland tasting. Connie, our server, was friendly and attentive. I liked the decorations, particularly the Burt Reynolds picture. Unfortunately, the tables were so close together, my overall impression was too crowded. This was my first visit and I'll probably return to try something different on the menu.
