Lovely place to have dinner. Large seating area and while it can get crowded, the turn around time is quite quick. Parking is also much easier than other parts of the city. Seafood is as fresh as it gets and prepared in such a way that you can enjoy the freshness without it drowning in sauces. Well worth the short drive out from the city to dine here.
I have a lot to say about this place. It’s clearly an institution, but one that doesn’t seem interested in change or taking many risks. The decor gives 1960s Hilton Head, and there is a strange segregation between the happy hour section and regular dining. In fact, if you’re older than 21 but still have a vertical license, you cannot enter the happy hour area. That said, I think the chefs are working hard and doing the best they can. But someone in dining needs to be doing a bit more research of how to adjust plating and move towards more creative flavors. The best example of this is the black
Went to Chinook's at Salmon Bay in Seattle. Sea food is amazing here. Fish is cooked fresh from sea and tastes great. Would go back again. We ordered, Manila Clams - Northwest clams steamed in clam nectar, with garlic, lemon and parsley Garlic Prawns Scampi - Ocean prawns butterflied and baked with garlic butter, fresh lemon and gremolata. Served with Fisherman's potatoes and seasonal vegetable Wild Halibut 'n Chips - Two pieces dipped in tempura batter and served with seasoned French fries and poppyseed vinaigrette coleslaw.
Chinooks has always been my all time favorite seafood restaurant in the greater Seattle area. It is located north of town up near Ballard. Their seafood tastes fresh out of the water! Highly recommend getting their copper-river (or King) salmon, or halibut. Top-notch pacific seafood! Lots of seating available and good for groups of all sizes. It is more on the pricier side but typical for Seattle. Really nice views of the water! The only downside is it can get noisy inside during busy hours, so if you’re with a group this is something to consider. Overall a wonderful restaurant and highly reco
Had an incredible meal here! We decided to try a mix of everything, and this place did not disappoint. The fish and chips were perfectly crispy and fresh, the tacos had amazing flavor, and the shrimp fettuccine was rich, creamy, and loaded with plump shrimp. On top of the fantastic seafood, the service was excellent. If you are looking for a great seafood spot in Seattle, this is it. We will definitely be back!
