I was recommended CHALKBOARD Cafe by some friends of mine for their delicious Philly Cheese Steaks, which.. spoiler.. they did not disappoint! A small little cafe seated right along the Riverwalk, it's tucked off to the side as if not to attract too much attention, which is a pro in my book, less noise from the passerbys that are headed to the arcades and beach. A few tables seated right outside the cafe with most of the seating being indoors. To describe the indoor scene.. I would honestly have say that it felt very much like a home, with photos and trinkets posted on walls and hung in the c
Chalkboard Cafe is an absolute must-visit. I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had—those biscuits are HUGE, perfectly fluffy, and packed with flavor. You can truly taste the homemade quality in every bite. My friend ordered one of their specials—seafood Benedict with a side of potatoes—and we both absolutely loved it. Everything on the menu feels thoughtfully made from scratch, which really sets this place apart. One of the cutest and most unique touches is that you can draw on the tables with chalk! This was our absolute favorite place we ate while in Seaside. So good that we will go there again for breakfast before we go. My husband and I both had the breakfast bowl with sausage and they were chef’s kiss! Everything is made from scratch and the coffee is self serve. We highly recommend!
We had such a great experience at Chalkboard Cafe! Kenzie, our waitress, was absolutely amazing - she was knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The owner was also very kind and added to the great atmosphere. The bacon and kielbasa were to die for - some of the best we’ve had! Everything was delicious, and the service was top-notch. We also loved that they open early, making it the perfect spot for breakfast. Highly recommend stopping in!
So overdue from October 2025! Hidden gem! What a heartbreak....that is right ..heartbreaking dissappointment when we went to have our last breakfast and they were closed unexpectedly. We were caught like a fish in the off season tourist sea by lovely lady named Ashley on our walk over the older bridge leading to the main seaside tourist promenade. It was off season and there were few people strolling the city.Ashley was sweet and very tactful on how she approached us on a cold call to bring customers in their cafe. She is worth every penny and more . It's unfortunate that this place is n
