For all the hype that I heard about this place, I was disappointed in what we got. The food was bland and really oily. We tried the calamari and fish and chips; neither dish had much seasoning (if any) and the breading around the fish felt almost as thick as the fish itself! Staff seemed rushed and uninterested in the work, and we were largely ignored throughout our time. The location/style of the restaurant is unique and pretty cool, but unless you need some actual hardware I’d look elsewhere for food.

Unique setting.. hardware store turned into restaurant . 5 stars for food.. the customer service was a bit weird. It felt a little bit rushed. We were sat 5 steps away from the bathroom which isn’t really ideal when you’re trying to enjoy your meal. There was no wait and three other tables free and available. The gentleman who was serving us put the receipt on the table halfway through our meal and reminded us twice to put a card down and sign the receipt .. again there was nobody waiting and no lunch rush - overall weird customer service experience but the food was absolutely delicious. Good atmosphere and quick walk from the beach. The fried fish sandwich was delicious, and the salad was huge. My 2 issues were that it was pretty expensive overall ($24 for a sandwich and fries), and there was a $14 upcharge for the shrimp on the salad which wouldn't be that bad except it only included 4 shrimp. $3.50 per shrimp seems a bit insane to me.

This was the worst dinning experience I have ever experienced, placed my to go order and was informed there was an 18% automatic gratuity which was fine, told me to sit where ever until my order was ready after I sat down 5 min later I was asked if I could move, I waited 30 min for a screwed up order the wait person came to me questioning if I ordered xyz, no I gave him what I ordered, then i still received half the order even confirmed with him what I ordered b4 I left and he agreeded to my question, got back to my hotel and was missing half my order, went back and told the wait person I didn

Mental concept, went in on a whim with my partner after passing on one of the brewpubs down the street and I don’t think we made a better decision the entire trip. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was good, and the wings at our server’s recommendation which were some of the best I’ve ever had. Poke around the hardware store while you’re waiting for your food and knock out that plumbing project your wife has been bugging you about. Win-win
