Black Bear Diner Sequim

I visited Olympic National Park with friends in 2019 and that was the first time I ate here, and have returned many times since then. The food portions are generous and consistently delicious. The staff is always welcoming and makes you feel like you’re coming home. I also enjoy the decorations, including the wood carves, pond, koi fish, and water lilies during the summer. This place holds many sweet memories for me.

Stopped here on the way to Olympic and it was great. We were served water promptly and the food came out quite fast. The dinner options were balanced with good portion size. We got the tri tip and the salmon. The veggies were well seasoned, the salmon was a little bland and dry for my taste but still good. The corn bread that came with the tri tip was slightly sweet and crunchy on the outside which I really enjoyed. Loved all the bear themed decor in and out of the restaurant. Plenty of parking too so definitely a convenient rest stop.

Amazing location, atmosphere, service, and food. We dined here while on the road. All of the meals were very large portions, and excellent tasting.

2026- the guy at the front said there would be oat milk when he checked but then when I picked up my delivery he said that he couldn't find it. I have lactose intolerant so I can't have cow milk. Anyways I think prices went up too much because I got two pieces of toast for $5 some oatmeal couple scrambled eggs and orange juice for $30. That's a lot of money for one meal! See photo. I don't think I can keep coming here for meals anymore. Two eggs two pieces of toast a cup of oatmeal in orange juice shouldn't cost $30! 2025-Jackson rocks, he listened to my order and made it perfect adding his ideas. I've only had 2 burgers in my life and he just made the best one for me. I didn't know beef should be cooked like this. Thanks man. This place is so adorable and clean, I miss going to them in Montana. I'm happy one is here in Washington. I love that they have a catering menu also. I also love they don't over salt or sugar any food and honor veterans through selling their books in the merch area.

It was a nice enough dinner. The food was pretty standard. The service was nice, portions were average and quality was fine. Just nothing said WOW.
