Benedictine Brewery

Fantastic true to style beers with a great view. My wife’s family helped found Mt Angel and her great grandfather worked the farm below back in the day so we always cone up here when we visit from Texas. I’ve drank a lot of beer in a lit if places to include europe and the beers offered here are spot in to what you’d find in Europe. This sounds odd but one of my favorite things is how the taproom even smells like every older church did in my youth. Brings back memories! This is a place you have to check out if you are in the area.

Knowing that monks in medieval European monasteries brewed beer with great care and meticulous record-keeping, this place felt a little more special to me. The wide, open landscape offered a refreshing view, and the balance and structure of their ale were truly impressive. The Dark Sour, in particular, stood out as something quite unique. I highly recommend this spot. I made a point to stop here on my way to the campground at Silver Falls State Park, and I ended up having a thoroughly satisfying experience.

Great beer made by Monks, it doesn't get any better than that! That offer tasting flights, a variety of bites, they sell their beer by the bottle and also provide merch. If you go, make sure to visit the Abby just up the hill.

Nice place to relax and enjoy a time honored tradition. Full spectrum of offerings light to very dark. Tasty snacks to accompany the brews.

This brewery was great! Honestly, I think this brewery is in a high-end location with a beautiful view. The beer was good, but it didn't match how amazing the view is. Pretty average beer (on par with most other breweries), but still good! I love the different glass options! I definitely recommend checking it out!
